A safety plan is something a therapist uses when a child or teen expresses thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or harming others. Since September is Suicide Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight the excellent resources that the Child Mind Institute offers for determining when a safety plan is needed, how to develop one, who’s part of the safety plan agreement and more.
