Dr. Stephanie Paulsell and Vanessa Zoltan discuss how youth ministers can use movies and books from popular culture and approach them as sacred texts in order to connect with our kids, after delivering a lecture entitled, “Matches Struck in the Dark: Imagination and the Joyful Life.”

Dr. Paulsell is the Susan Shallcross Swartz Professor of the Practice of Christian Studies at Harvard Divinity School.

Ms. Zoltan is the co-host of the popular podcast, “Harry Potter and the Sacred Text.”​
