Here in New Haven, the leaves have changed to bright colors and are continually being swept away by the wind. Most of us are starting to prepare for the season of Advent, while some of us are trying to hold onto the last few warm days. We have compiled resources and self-guided Bible Studies for Advent. Upcoming Elections
As the upcoming elections draw near, listen to the Rev. Dr. Allen Hilton in “Hope and Fear in an Election Year.” Allen offers strategies for sanity and practices that maintain community – even when our nation and neighborhood are divided. He draws on wisdom gleaned from years spent facilitating and mediating in Red-Blue contexts to help us navigate our own journey. Watch the full video here.
Yale Divinity School Named Lectures
For November, we are highlighting the Parks-King Lecture Series as we continue to focus on a different Yale Divinity School historical lecture series each month. The Parks-King Lecture is held annually at Yale Divinity School and commemorates two civil rights leaders, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. The series was established in 1983 through the efforts of the Yale Black Seminarians. Practitioners Reflect
Springtide Research Institute published a compilation, “Practitioners Reflect,” where professionals were asked to review youth ministry data and then write a reflection from their own perspective and experience.
