Season’s Greetings!
Can you believe that it is December? Advent is finally here and before you know it, the holidays will be upon us. But before that, there will be additional church services to prepare for and attend, holiday parties, shopping, and baking holiday desserts. We hope that you will take a moment for yourself, whether it is working through one of our meditations or starting a self-guided Bible Study. We have resources below that can help keep the season bright.
- Bible Studies
- “Casting the Pageant: Meeting the Characters of Christmas” with the Rev. Dr. Allen Hilton. He discusses the stories behind the cast from the Christmas story here.
- “INCARNATION — Fleshing Out the Bible’s Christmas Stories” with the Rev. Dr. Allen Hilton. The gospels provide different stories about Jesus’ incarnation and birth. Prepare for Advent by exploring this Bible Study via videos or podcast here.
- Gospel of Luke Bible Study -The Lectionary focuses on the Gospel of Luke this month. We have a free, self-guided Bible Study on Luke, both for adults and youth.
- Meditations – YMI Quest for the Spirit introduces youth to the ancient spiritual disciplines, which includes meditations. We have a variety of meditations that youth can do to help through the stress of the holidays. Go here.
