Can you believe that the holidays are less than a month away? As we patiently wait to celebrate the arrival of Jesus Christ, you may find your calendar jammed packed with holiday parties, concerts, decorating your home, baking holiday treats, and shopping for gifts. Don’t forget the never-ending tasks and events that you must finish before family gathers for the holiday. If you celebrate Hanukkah, you have even less time to prepare since it starts December 14th.
We encourage you to slow down and think about “the reason for the season.” Although Thanksgiving has passed, we can continue to show our gratitude and compassion for others. Does someone in your community need some joy? Is there someone who is struggling and is embarrassed to ask for help? How can you spread kindness to these folks?
We have compiled a list of kindness activities with a related scripture. We hope you will join us each weekday as we offer a kindness activity on social media (connect with us below). We also included a printable calendar of kindness activities below in case you are not on social media. Feel free to do the activities with your youth group, where you divide them up among the youth or with your family, friends, or co-workers. Challenge each other to complete each kindness activity.
Send photos and comment on our posts with the activities you have completed. We want to hear from you! You can also email us here if you do not want to post on social media. We want to see how your kindness has impacted those around you.
No matter what season of life you are currently in, we hope you will take the time to spread kindness in your community. What have you done today that promoted kindness?
