Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month. Celebrate Women’s History Month by exploring the different resources we have available, which include:
From the YMI Director: Ash Wednesday
When I was a chaplain serving in a hospital, my favorite day all year was Ash Wednesday. Previously, I’ll admit that Ash Wednesday never really meant that much to me. But all of that changed at the hospital.

YDS Learn, Lead, Inspire Summit 2023
“The Other”: Defining, Defending, Problematizing
Join us on the beautiful Sterling Divinity Quadrangle in New Haven for a week-long educational summit, June 26-30, 2023. This year’s topic will be the intended and unintended consequence of categorizing “otherness,” whether it be around race, gender, ethnicity, ability, or other lines of difference. Participants will have an opportunity to spend a week thinking intensively with peers and friends about this important and timely topic, all the while being guided by faculty from Yale, with opportunities for small group intensive discussions and personally tailored experiences, preparing them to better engage with their communities, their congregations, and their faith.
During this immersive 5-day program, participants will come to campus to live, learn, and work together, utilizing the resources of Yale and the wider New Haven community. We will explore the topic through biblical, theological, ethical, and pastoral lenses in a supportive learning environment that includes Yale faculty and higher education leaders from across the country, including Clifton Granby, Laura Nasrallah, Almeda Wright, Tisa Wenger, and Molly Zahn.
