Anti-Racist Compassionate Action, Christopher Carter and Seth Schoen – Video and Discussion Outline
Questions for all Youth Groups:
Where in the Compassionate Action Circle do you see yourself right now? Has that changed over time?
Where are our actions rooted? As we look towards doing this with our youth, which of the pillars (Generosity, Service, Witness, Solidarity, Empowerment, Accountability, and Justice) are we more or less focused on in our church?
How are we planning to reassess as time goes on? What are the dangers of not doing this?
What have been the potential pitfalls related to “turn the other cheek”? How is this teaching experienced by historically oppressed groups? How might we address this concern with our youth, understanding the path forward in this work is extremely complex?
