What’s Happening Inside vs. the World, Christopher Carter – Video and Discussion Outline
Questions for all Youth Groups:
What happens in your body when you experience an outside trigger? What can you do to become more aware of those sensations in the given moment?
How can you show compassion for yourself in that moment?
Is the idea that no one makes you feel anything, but that that response is rooted in ourselves… is that a new concept for you? How might that slight distance from our feelings help us respond from a more grounded place to: our families, within our church, and in our work of anti-racism?
And how might that acknowledgement of feelings allow us to realize what our soul is crying for? How might our interior movements become, as Carter suggests, our “spiritual teachers”?
